A person's place of birth (and who they discover their parents to be) is entirely a matter of luck. If you are born in a rich place, you are just lucky. And if you are born in a poor place, you are just unlucky. The only reason we're the ones deciding who can come into a country, rather than the people coming into the country, is the luck of having been born here. Luck is not a legitimate basis for power over where other people are allowed to live. We have no moral right to deny someone the freedom to live in any particular region of the world.
